The city known as „Beautiful Izmir“ in Turkish is situated in northern coast of Aegean coast. It is the third largest town and the secong biggest port in Turkey with rich historical and cultural heritage.

Izmir is also blessed with numerous scenic beauties and is under the effect of the Mediterranean climate, with hot, humid summers and mild, damp winters. The city surrounds the bay of Izmir and old style ferries cross regularly to the different areaas throughout the day.

With palm-tree lined promenades and avenues, Alsancak is one of the most popular areas in Izmir. Parallel to the coastline is running a famous street – the Kordon, where you can enjoy a drink while watching the sunset over the bay.

The Çeşme Peninsula lies west of Izmir, on the Aegean coast. The name „Çeşme“ means fountain, which refers to the many springs found in this area during the 18th and 19th centuries. It is the center of a rich resort area that feature lovely beaches, clear blue sea and spas. The climate here is noticebly drier, cooler and healthier than anywhere nearby on the Turkish coast. These conditions, combined with the presence of several thermal springs, are the reason which made the peninsula a popular resort for over a century. Sandy beaches, which are stretching over 29 km along the coastline of Çeşme, offer the perfect place to swim or dive in turqouise sea.  The city also boasts of a lively nightlife that continues until early hours.
