Blue Lagoon

Blue Lagoon is known as “dead sea” in Turkish, because of the stillness of the water. The lagoon is a nature reserve lined by shallow sloping sand. It has rich underwater world such as caves and fauna and is an ideal place for scuba diving. Many sites are also suitable for snorkeling. The beach is pebble and the water is crystal clear perfect for families with small children. It is an official Blue Flag beach and is rated among the top 5 beaches in the world. Just remember that the access to the beach is shut by the evening. Blue Lagoon is the ideal place for watersports enthusiasts. Ölüdeniz is also famous for paragliding. It is one of the best places in the world to paraglide due to stable weather conditions and Mount Babadag’s height. 

Kayakoy

Kayakoy is a village that used to be a city of Lycia. Greeks and Turks lived side by side and integrated with each other. The village was abandoned when its inhabitants returned in Greece in a population exchange following the Greco-Turkish war. The village consists of hundreds of Greek style houses and churches. While strolling through the streets of abandoned village do not miss the old fountain, Upper and Lower church and the little chapel on the top of the hill. The chapel is located at a place that gives a stunning view of the valley and the sea below. Today the village is a historical monument and is under protection of the Turkish government. UNESCO named Kayakoy a world friendship and peace village.
